We sold our ranch in Oregon and Cindy and I, our dog Georgia and 4
cats loaded into our car, and pulling a trailer, drove 3000+ miles in 7
days back to where we had started from in 2008.
We
moved from Sarasota, FL to Clatskanie, OR in Oct., 2008, in time for a beautiful
autumn. While making many wonderful new friends and reestablishing with old friends and family, the next nearly 4 years it seemed to rain too much, be too gray
and too cold. Finally after what we considered a 4 year spiritual sabbatical on our
beautiful ranch property, we decided we needed to get back to warm
weather.
We arrived back in Sarasota to a bright summer day on July 1, 2012. It's been pretty much warm and sunny ever since we got here.
We
spent a month and a half in a rental house while we searched for a home
to buy and then waited for the sale to close. We bought the second
house we looked at. Below are pictures of the new home. We spend a lot of our home-time sitting out in our
beautiful caged pool area.
